Breakfast Sausage Loaf By: Kathy Sowins
INGREDIENTS: 1 lb. mild pork sausage
INSTRUCTIONS: In medium bowl, mix ingredients except sausage. Shape mixture into log about 8 inches log. If desired, cover and refrigerate overnight. Place on rack in shallow baking pan. If desired, arrange several sage leaves on top of loaf and lightly press into surface. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees, about 50 to 60 minutes. To serve, cut into slices. Garnish with additional fresh sage if desired. (About 8 slices.) (I use Bob Evans Sage Pork Sausage and omit fresh sage.) |
